Meagan Flynn
Co-Founder, Volunteer Director, Outreach Director
Meagan always knew her passion and goal in life was to rehabilitate unwanted and forgotten animals. After months of begging, she finally persuaded her family to foster for a local shelter when she was in fourth grade. Meagan and her family fostered eight litters of nursing puppies – that is when she fell in love with misunderstood breeds that overwhelm the shelters. She began volunteering for a local Pit Bull rescue, ultimately leading her to Resilient Dog Rescue. In her day to day, non-rescue life, Meagan works in the insurance industry and enjoys watching The Office on the couch with her resident dog, Sammi.
Meagan’s prospective goal for Resilient Dog Rescue is to have enough growth to allow for programs that extend into the community. She hopes to create programs centered around healing for victims of domestic violence and veterans with PTSD, showcasing the therapeutic magic of all dogs, regardless of their breed.
